How we picked
We filtered our pedal database to sets with a load cell brake, which leaves 16. Each is scored on our pedal rubric: brake sensor (weight 3), maximum brake force (1.5, scaled from 20 kg to 200 kg), pedal count (1), platform support (1), connection options (0.5) and whether the set can be inverted (0.5). The full method is on how we evaluate.
Because every set here has a load cell, the sensor metric is a tie. The Simagic P2000-R adds a hydraulic cylinder system, but Simagic lists load cell sensors on its pedals, so it belongs here. That leaves brake force, pedal count, platforms and connectivity to separate the field.
Fanatec doesn’t publish a maximum brake force for the CSL Pedals LC, so we also name the best set with a published force as a separate pick. MOZA’s CRP2 and SRP2 aren’t in this ranking because MOZA describes them as hybrids, pairing a load cell with an angle sensor. We cover them at the end.

- Pedal count
- 3
- Platform support
- pc, xbox, playstation
- Connection options
- usb, base
A three-pedal bundle of Fanatec CSL Pedals with the CSL Load Cell Kit, adding a load cell brake and a USB connection. It suits budget-minded drivers on Fanatec bases who also want standalone PC use.
Strengths
- Load cell brake with adjustable sensitivity (approx. 10 kg minimum)
- Original brake pedal moves over to act as the clutch, giving three pedals

- Modular design allows inverted mounting
Watch out for
- Fanatec does not publish a maximum brake force for the CSL load cell
- Console use requires connection through a Fanatec wheel base
The CSL Pedals LC score highest because they tick nearly every box: a load cell brake, three pedals (the original brake pedal moves over to act as the clutch), USB and RJ12 connection, all three platforms, and a modular design that allows inverted mounting.
The brake has adjustable sensitivity down to approximately 10 kg. The ceiling isn’t published, so if you want a known high brake force, look at the pedals below. On PC they run standalone over USB. On Xbox and PlayStation they connect by RJ12 to a Fanatec base, which our data confirms on the CSL DD, ClubSport DD and Podium DD for Xbox and the ClubSport DD+ and Gran Turismo DD Pro for PlayStation.

Best with a published brake force: Logitech G PRO Racing Pedals
Best with a published brake force
Logitech G PRO Racing Pedals
- Brake sensor
- load-cell
- Max brake force
- 100 kg
- Pedal count
- 3
- Platform support
- pc, xbox, playstation
Logitech's three-pedal set with a 100 kg load cell brake, contactless Hall-effect sensors and removable pedal modules. It connects to a PC over USB or to a Logitech wheel for console use, suiting PRO and RS wheel base owners.
Strengths
- 100 kg load cell brake with contactless Hall-effect sensors on gas and brake
- Removable pedal modules with swappable springs; pedals can be inverted in a cockpit
- 2.5 m USB cable included; set weighs 5.02 kg
Watch out for
- Console use requires a Logitech wheel for that platform
- G29/G920/G923 use needs the Logitech G Racing Adapter (sold separately)
At 8.5, the PRO Racing Pedals are the top-scoring set that publishes its brake ceiling: a 100 kg load cell brake, with contactless Hall-effect sensors on the gas and brake. They’re three pedals, invertible in a cockpit, with removable modules and swappable springs.
They’re also the most flexible on console. On PC they connect by USB (a 2.5 m cable is included). On PlayStation they need an RS/PRO Racing Wheel for PlayStation/PC, or a G29/G923 through the Logitech G Racing Adapter. Xbox works the same way with the Xbox versions or a G920/G923. The set weighs 5.02 kg.
Best inverted model: Fanatec ClubSport Pedals V3 Inverted
Best inverted model
Fanatec ClubSport Pedals V3 Inverted
- Brake sensor
- load-cell
- Max brake force
- 90 kg
- Pedal count
- 3
- Platform support
- pc, xbox, playstation
An inverted (hanging) version of the Fanatec ClubSport Pedals V3, with the clutch and brake pivots moved to the top of the pedals. It suits Fanatec users building a rig with a top-mounted, race-car-style pedal layout.
Strengths
- Based on the ClubSport Pedals V3 with clutch and brake pivots moved to the upper side
- 90 kg load cell brake
- Three pedals with standalone USB use on PC
Watch out for
- Hanging layout needs a cockpit with an inverted pedal mount
- Console use requires connection through a compatible Fanatec wheel base
Among sets built specifically as inverted models, the ClubSport V3 Inverted (8.4) beats the Simagic P1000i (7.2). It’s the ClubSport Pedals V3 with the clutch and brake pivots moved to the upper side, so the pedals hang like a real car’s.
You get a 90 kg load cell brake, three pedals, and standalone USB for PC. Console use requires connection through a compatible Fanatec wheel base. The hanging layout needs a cockpit with an inverted pedal mount, so check your rig first. Several sets above, including the CSL Pedals LC and Logitech PRO, can be inverted too. This is the pick if you want a set designed for it from the start.
Best for Thrustmaster bases: Thrustmaster Raceline Pedals III LC
Best for Thrustmaster bases
Thrustmaster Raceline Pedals III LC
- Brake sensor
- load-cell
- Max brake force
- 100 kg
- Pedal count
- 3
- Platform support
- pc, xbox, playstation
A Thrustmaster three-pedal set with a load cell brake adjustable from 25 to 100 kg and Hall-effect accelerator and clutch. It works with any wheel base on PC over USB and with Thrustmaster force feedback bases on consoles.
Strengths
- Load cell brake adjustable from 25 to 100 kg with included springs and a preload dial
- Hall-effect sensors on accelerator and clutch
- Removable clutch pedal
- Ships with USB-C and RJ45 pedal set cables
Watch out for
- Not compatible with the Thrustmaster T500 base on consoles
- Thrustmaster does not mention inverted mounting
Thrustmaster’s two load cell sets tie at 8.2. We pick the Raceline Pedals III LC over the T-LCM because Thrustmaster documents more of it: the brake adjusts from 25 to 100 kg with included springs and a preload dial, the clutch is removable, and it ships with USB-C and RJ45 cables. The T-LCM page doesn’t say which cable is for which platform.
Hall-effect sensors handle the accelerator and clutch. On Windows 10/11 it works with every wheel base over USB. On PS4, PS5 and Xbox it needs a Thrustmaster force feedback base, excluding the T500. In our database that means the T598 for PlayStation.
Best hydraulic: Simagic P2000-R
Best hydraulic
Simagic P2000-R Hydraulic Pedals
- Brake sensor
- load-cell
- Pedal count
- 3
- Platform support
- pc
- Connection options
- usb, base
Simagic's hydraulic pedal set, with a hydraulic cylinder brake system and load cell sensors, sold in dual- and tri-pedal editions. It connects over USB to a PC or a Simagic wheelbase and suits PC drivers wanting a hydraulic brake feel.
Strengths
- Hydraulic cylinder brake system with main and auxiliary pumps on braided steel lines
- Load cell sensors listed for throttle, brake and clutch
- 12-bit (4096) output on all axes
- Available as a dual-pedal or tri-pedal edition
Watch out for
- Simagic does not publish a maximum brake force
- Simagic lists PC only; no console support
The P2000-R is the only set in our database with a hydraulic brake system: main and auxiliary pumps on braided steel lines, with load cell sensors listed for throttle, brake and clutch. All axes output at 12-bit (4,096 steps). We track the tri-pedal edition, and a dual-pedal edition is also sold.
It scores 6.9. Simagic doesn’t publish a maximum brake force, and it doesn’t list inverted mounting. It connects by USB to a PC or to a Simagic wheelbase. Simagic lists PC only, so it’s not a console option.
Highest published brake force: Heusinkveld Ultimate+ 3-Pedal
Highest published brake force (140 kg)
Heusinkveld Ultimate+ 3-Pedal Set
- Brake sensor
- load-cell
- Max brake force
- 140 kg
- Pedal count
- 3
- Platform support
- pc
The three-pedal (clutch, throttle, brake) version of Heusinkveld's Ultimate+ set, with a 200 kg load cell brake rated for 140 kg of force and an external USB controller box. It suits PC drivers who want a stiff brake and a clutch.
Strengths
- 200 kg load cell brake with 140 kg maximum force at the footplate
- USB-connected external controller box
- Includes a clutch pedal; set weighs 6.64 kg
Watch out for
- PC only (Windows 10 or newer); no console or Linux support
- Heusinkveld does not mention inverted mounting
No set in our database publishes a higher brake ceiling: 140 kg at the footplate from a 200 kg load cell. The 3-pedal version includes a clutch and weighs 6.64 kg, and a custom 12-bit USB controller sits in an external box.
It scores 6.6 because the rubric rewards things it deliberately doesn’t do. It’s PC only (Windows 10 or newer), not supported on Linux or consoles, USB only, and Heusinkveld doesn’t mention inverted mounting. If you race on PC and want the stiffest brake on paper, none of that matters. The 2-pedal version has the same brake without the clutch.
Best two-pedal set: Logitech G RS Pedals
Best two-pedal set
Logitech G RS Pedals
- Brake sensor
- load-cell
- Max brake force
- 75 kg
- Pedal count
- 2
- Platform support
- pc, xbox, playstation
Logitech's modular two-pedal set with a 75 kg load cell brake and a contactless Hall-effect accelerator. It connects to a PC over USB or to a Logitech wheel base for console use, suiting RS50 and PRO base owners on a budget.
Strengths
- 75 kg load cell brake
- Contactless Hall-effect accelerator
- Interchangeable dampers and spacers for tuning brake feel
Watch out for
- Clutch pedal sold separately
- Console use requires connection to a compatible Logitech wheel
Among two-pedal load cell sets, the RS Pedals (6.5) lead the Heusinkveld Ultimate+ 2-pedal (5.3) by a wide margin, because they add console support. You get a 75 kg load cell brake, a contactless Hall-effect accelerator, and interchangeable dampers and spacers for tuning brake feel.
On PC they need a USB 2.0 or faster port. On PlayStation or Xbox they connect to a compatible Logitech wheel, directly to a PRO or RS50 base or to G-series wheels through the Racing Adapter. The clutch pedal is sold separately, so you can add it later.

The rest of the field, for reference:
| Set | Score | Max brake force | Pedals | Platforms |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fanatec CSL Elite Pedals V2 | 8.4 | 90 kg | 3 | PC, Xbox, PS |
| Thrustmaster T-LCM | 8.2 | 100 kg | 3 | PC, Xbox, PS |
| Fanatec ClubSport Pedals V3 | 8.0 | 90 kg | 3 | PC, Xbox, PS |
| Simagic P1000i | 7.2 | 100 kg | 3 | PC |
| Simagic P1000 | 6.8 | 100 kg | 3 | PC |
| Heusinkveld Sprint 3-Pedal | 5.8 | 65 kg | 3 | PC |
| Heusinkveld Ultimate+ 2-Pedal | 5.3 | 140 kg | 2 | PC |
| MOZA mBooster with CRP2 Throttle | 4.9 | Not published | 2 | PC |
| Heusinkveld Sprint 2-Pedal | 4.4 | 65 kg | 2 | PC |
The pattern is clear. Every set scoring 8 or higher supports all three platforms and connects by both USB and base. The PC-only specialists from Heusinkveld and Simagic score lower because of platform and connection points, not because their brakes are weaker. On PC alone, the Simagic P1000 and Heusinkveld Ultimate+ match or beat the console sets on published brake force.
How much brake force do you need?
Brake force is the most misread number on a pedal spec sheet. There are two figures, and only one is the pedal’s ceiling:
| Set | Load cell sensor rating | Maximum brake force |
|---|---|---|
| Heusinkveld Sprint | 120 kg | Up to 65 kg |
| Heusinkveld Ultimate+ | 200 kg | 140 kg |
| Fanatec CSL Elite Pedals V2 | Above 200 kg | Tuned to 90 kg |
| MOZA mBooster | Dual 200 kg sensors | Not published |
The sensor rating is what the load cell can measure without damage. The brake force is how hard you’ll actually press to reach full brake. Compare sets on brake force.
Published ceilings in our ranking cluster in three groups:
- 65 to 75 kg: Heusinkveld Sprint and Logitech RS. A firm pedal that suits a lighter rig or a desk-and-chair setup.
- 90 to 100 kg: Fanatec ClubSport V3 and CSL Elite V2 (90 kg), Logitech PRO, Thrustmaster T-LCM and Raceline III LC, and Simagic P1000 (100 kg). The mainstream range.
- 140 kg: Heusinkveld Ultimate+. For drivers who want a very stiff brake.
More isn’t automatically better. A load cell rewards consistent pressure, and you can usually set the brake to need less than the maximum. The Raceline III LC, for example, adjusts from 25 to 100 kg. A higher ceiling does let you run a stiff, realistic pedal without the sensor bottoming out. Whatever you choose, the pedals push against your rig. Hard braking moves an office chair or a light stand, so a high ceiling only pays off on a rigid mount. Our best sim racing cockpits ranking covers frames with dedicated pedal plates.
USB vs base connection and console support
Every set in this ranking has USB, so on PC each one works alongside any wheel base. Our compatibility checker confirms it for every base in our database. Console is different: pedals must connect through the wheel base, and the base must be the same brand.
| Brand | Load cell sets | Console route |
|---|---|---|
| Fanatec | CSL Pedals LC, CSL Elite V2, ClubSport V3, ClubSport V3 Inverted | RJ12 to a Fanatec base: ClubSport DD+ or GT DD Pro for PlayStation; CSL DD, ClubSport DD or Podium DD for Xbox |
| Logitech | PRO Racing Pedals, RS Pedals | A Logitech RS/PRO base for that platform, or G-series wheels through the Racing Adapter |
| Thrustmaster | T-LCM, Raceline III LC | A Thrustmaster force feedback base (Raceline III LC excludes the T500) |
| Simagic | P1000, P1000i, P2000-R | None; PC only, by USB or a Simagic wheelbase bus port |
| Heusinkveld | Sprint and Ultimate+ (2- and 3-pedal) | None; PC only, Windows 10 or newer |
| Moza | mBooster | None listed; needs its own external power supply |
Two fine-print details from Fanatec:
- ClubSport Pedals V3: resolution drops from 12-bit to 8-bit when connected through PWT, PWTS, CSR or CSR Elite wheels. There’s no console support over direct USB or the ClubSport USB Adapter.
- CSL Elite Pedals V2: Xbox needs a compatible Fanatec base plus an Xbox-licensed Fanatec steering wheel, and the hardware for inverted mounting isn’t included.
Upgrading from potentiometer or Hall pedals? Fanatec’s 2-pedal CSL Pedals measure brake travel with Hall sensors, and Fanatec sells a Load Cell Kit that adds a load cell brake and expands them to three pedals. Our console guides cover pedals per platform: best sim racing wheels for Xbox and best sim racing wheels for PS5.
What about MOZA’s CRP2 and SRP2?
MOZA’s CRP2 pairs a 0–200 kg load cell with a 15-bit angle sensor, and the SRP2 pairs a 0–100 kg load cell with a 15-bit angle sensor. MOZA describes them as hybrid brakes, so they sit outside this ranking. MOZA lists PC and Xbox for both and describes a direct USB connection to a PC, regardless of wheel base brand. PlayStation isn’t listed, and the clutch is a separate purchase on each.
Every pedal set’s full compatibility is on the pedals hub. Pair your choice with a base from our best sim racing wheels ranking.
Frequently asked questions
What are the best load cell pedals?
The Fanatec CSL Pedals LC score highest on our rubric at 8.6, with three pedals, USB or Fanatec-base connection and all three platforms. Among sets with a published brake force, the 100 kg Logitech G PRO Racing Pedals lead at 8.5.
How much brake force do load cell pedals need?
Most published ceilings in our database sit between 75 and 100 kg, which leaves room for a firm brake. Heusinkveld's Ultimate+ goes to 140 kg for drivers who want a very stiff pedal, but it needs a rig rigid enough to push against.
Do load cell pedals work on PS5 and Xbox?
Only through a wheel base of the same brand. Fanatec, Logitech and Thrustmaster load cell sets work on console when connected to a compatible base from that brand; Heusinkveld and Simagic sets are PC only.
Can I use load cell pedals with a different brand of wheel base?
On PC, yes, as long as the pedals have USB. Every load cell set in our ranking has a USB connection, so it works alongside any wheel base on PC. On console, the pedals and base must be the same brand.
What is the difference between load cell sensor rating and brake force?
The sensor rating is what the load cell can measure; the brake force is the maximum the pedal is set up to need. Heusinkveld's Sprint uses a 120 kg load cell for up to 65 kg of actual brake force, and Fanatec tunes the CSL Elite V2 to 90 kg with a sensor rated above 200 kg.
