Sim racing compatibility checker
Pick your platform and the parts you own or want. Each pairing gets a verdict: Compatible, Works with adapter, Check manufacturer chart where manufacturer data is unclear, or Not compatible, with the reason behind it.
Choose a wheelbase and a steering wheel to see whether they work together.
How the checker decides
Wheel to base: the quick release has to match, or belong to the same family. Fanatec QR2 bases take QR2 and QR2 Lite wheels; QR2 Lite bases need an upgrade for full QR2 wheels; QR1 wheels need an adapter. Rims with a 70 mm PCD hub fit bases whose quick release takes a 70 mm adapter, such as Simagic, Moza, Simucube and Asetek.
Platform: a combination only works on Xbox or PlayStation if both the base and the wheel are listed for it. We show the manufacturer's platform notes alongside, because some products come in separate console versions.
Pedals: on PC, USB pedals work with any base. On console they must plug into a base from the same ecosystem that has a pedal port. Cockpits: we compare mounting patterns and the rig's rated torque against the base's peak torque.
Every verdict comes from our product records and the caveats manufacturers publish. Browse the wheelbase rankings, the steering wheel rankings or the platform matrix for the underlying data.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use a Fanatec wheel on a Moza or Simagic base?
Not directly. Fanatec wheels use Fanatec's QR2 or QR2 Lite quick release, which carries power and data and only couples to Fanatec bases. Cross-brand setups need third-party hubs and usually lose some wheel functions.
Do QR2 Lite wheels work on a QR2 base?
Yes. Fanatec QR2 bases accept QR2 Lite wheel-sides, though torque is limited to 8 Nm on that wheel-side. QR2 wheels on a QR2 Lite base need the QR2 Lite-to-QR2 upgrade.
Why does my wheel work on PC but not on Xbox or PlayStation?
Consoles need licensed hardware. The base and the wheel must both be listed for that console, and on many Fanatec and Logitech setups the licence lives in the wheel or a specific product version.
Can I plug USB pedals into a console?
No. On Xbox and PlayStation, pedals have to connect through the wheelbase's pedal port, so they must be from the same ecosystem and the base needs a pedal port. On PC, USB pedals work with any base.
